Marko The Curator is a celebrity stylist, vintage fashion curator, culturist and visionary that collects fashion they way museums collect dinosaur bones and Egyptian mummies.
Marko’s pieces range from jewelry, shades, one off pieces from yesteryear and random items of class, commodity and cultural rarity.
He’s been bringing back the 90’s and 80’s since we can remember, and in many ways, has influenced the culture that we now are surrounded by. He, like our set member Miguel Garcia have focused on the things you may have forgotten about in the back of the attic and made them new again.
Here are 5 amazing pieces of outerwear from Marko’s galleria.
5. VINTAGE COOGI WOOL SWEATER
This early 90’s Coogi wool sweater is epic. Clearly. From Cosby to Biggie, maybe take back Cosby, but Biggie we can keep, but this sweater had to make the list.
4. CHANEL CHAINS BOMBER
Last year, everyone from French Montana to the Jenners to random rich gay dudes at Basil were rocking the re-boot of this vintage icon jacket from House Of Chanel. This, my pals, is the original.
3. DAPPER DAN LV LEATHER VEST
Dapper Dan, the famous Harlem, NYC based fashion visionary, tailor, custom couturier, and stylist, who designed pieces using high fashion patterns in new ways for NYC’s urban entertainer since the 80’s designed this. Good luck even getting on a waiting list for something from Dapper Dan these days. He was just named EBONY’s POWER 100 Trendsetters of all time. This vest is literally legendary now. We have it.
2. GIORGIO BEVERLY HILLS VARSITY
Founded in 1961 as the first luxe-botique on the now iconic Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, this was a very rare piece from the early era of Giorgio BH. #TeamGiorgio way before Twitter.
1. BEATLES x SEX PISTOLS “ROCK ROYALTY” VERSACE SHIRT
Might be the coolest shirt I’ve ever seen, ever, like ever. I’m copping this if you don’t.
