It’s NBA All-Star Week. Thank the maker.

Dunks will be slammed. 3 pointers will be drained. Defense will not be played. Defense, with the exception of the occasional 90’s boo-yah block, has never been a thing on All-Star weekend. It may hypothetically win championships but it doesn’t get ratings. Out of all the changes and new concepts introduced to the game, the stop-the-drive-defensive-fundamentals-challenge is not one of them. This year, the NBA played to its strength (bankable star power), scrapped the East vs. West format, and went with Team LeBron James vs. Team Steph Curry. Brilliant pandering. Fans voted for the captains, captains Bron Bron and Steph picked their teams like it was recess kickball, and the kids got to have their cake and eat it. No one was shocked. The NBA knows that it’s 100% a super-star driven league. More so than the NFL, NHL, MLB and MLS, hoops culture has always applauded their…

PARIS FASHION WEEK : 2018 Emerging Style’s Look Book

In 1945 the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture established another set of rules to determine and regulate Haute Couture houses. In order to meet the criteria, a fashion house had to ensure they followed newly imposed including that each season, a couture house must present a collection of at least 35 runs with both daytime and evening wear to the Paris press. Other rules included having a staff of at least twenty and that every design must include fittings and be made-to-order for the clientele. The ensuing Haute Couture biannual events are considered the origin of the official Paris Fashion Week. The first recognized Paris Fashion Week was held in 1973 and organized Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear, and Men’s Fashion into one grouped showing by the Fédération Française de la Couture. The event was a fundraiser held at the Palace Of Versailles to restore the once iconic, albeit decaying, palace. It’s befitting that the event, in no small part…

Happy “After Labor Day”, blue collar gentleman! Today, you deserve to wear no collar. You deserve to be quite allergic to collars of any color as a whole. Come to think of it, you’re better off not wearing collars. “Colors” on the other hand, are ideal. Particularly one of the most popular colors ever, White. A long time ago, some one informed you as they whispered you “couldn’t wear white after labor day”. We at Wanderset have always been rebels. Here at the Top 5 Pieces of white for after Labor Day. Go ahead and break the rules. BOMB “Team 2” HOODIE This really current tech wear hoodie is exceptional. This is for unashamedly white, but doesn’t scream summer or pre-Labor Day. Rave Fashion Is Back. Get The Look, Then Get The E Pills.

In the late 90’s an electric monster was growing in underground warehouses in NYC. Everything felt like you were in the movie “Cool World” – complete with a pulsing techno soundtrack that never ended, bouncing red and purple lights, and perhaps you even saw a cartoon if you took enough Vitamin E. The whirlpool of culture meshing and trends that is New York City fashion is currently dabbling with rave, gabber and techno-inspired looks — goggle shades, electric bright joggers, massive cybergoth boots that make everyone look like Tank Girl, that kinda late 90’s tech shit. The raver shades from Gosha Rubchinskiy X Superfuture have been a smash hit on the streets of NY, but like so many of the weirdo subcultures New York churns out rigorously, this one might not make it’s way anywhere near the mainstream. But neither did OG Rave culture of the 90’s. Here’s a few joints on Wanderset…

Bladerunner Is A Fashion + Culture Game Changer.

I saw the first Bladerunner when I was 17 years old. I recently got booted out of college just 3 weeks into my first semester as a freshman (talk about triumphant moments) and the last thing I did was steal the DVD from the school’s library. I don’t know why I did it. Maybe it was my version of a walk off homer in the 9th. Maybe I was angry. But if I’m honest with myself, I jacked it because the cover screamed at me. The moody smoke and shadows, the dimly lit neons ominously illuminating the skyline, the face of Indiana Jones/Han Solo/The coolest guy alive Harrison Ford holding that laser cannon like some kind of comic book vigilante just hit me. It almost made losing a soccer scholarship just fine. I knew I would love the film. I got back to my parents crib and watched it immediately.…

The 5 Most Amazing Jackets For Fall 2017 Are Here.

Autumn is a fashion wet dream. It’s ideal for layering, while still being warm enough for layers to not be a necessity. The season connotes great looking light sweaters and knits, scarfs with T shirts, destroyed denim, boots, and a slew of collegiate classics. But nothing suits fall as well as the light jacket, and this year, Bomber Jackets are life. No one does the Bomber better than New Jersey’s super innovative, wildly hip Profound Aesthetic. P.A. Has just dropped 5 of the best jacket’s we’ve ever seen. Combining the Bomber X Biker vibe with intricate Japanese inspired embroidery and needlework. Here’s your Top 5 most amazing top layers for this fall. 1. FLYING AMERICAN EAGLE BOMBER JACKET Inspired by the actual fighter pilots of the second World War, this jacket is visually stunning, and could quite possibly start a new niche of vintage patriotic streetwear. It’s that dope. …
